Tuesday Evening Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a slow and meditative style of yoga that focuses on holding passive poses for extended periods, typically 3-5 minutes. As we surrender into the shapes with our body, we affect the connective web of fascia which helps us move into a deeply relaxed state. In this state we are able to tune into what the body is holding-our subconscious mind and soften deeply held tension.connective This practice promotes flexibility, joint health, and emotional release, while also encouraging mindfulness, somatic awareness and nervous system regulation. The long-held postures allow for deep stretching and can help improve blood and chi circulation, increase range of motion, and reduce stress. It’s especially beneficial for those seeking a calm, restorative practice that complements more active forms of exercise. Suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners.
